Crandon and Jeff were teammates and the defensive anchors for the CHS boys lax team that went to the State finals in 2005, then won back-to-back State championships in 2006 and 2007. They found themselves in the unfamiliar position of playing against each other when Denver University hosted Quinnipiac last Friday night in Denver. Denver won 14-8. Crandon is a starting defenseman at Quinnipiac as a sophomore. Jeff plays long-stick midfield at Denver and is seeing considerable action as a freshman. Denver (9-4) is currently ranked 14th in the nation in the NCAA.com poll. Quinnipiac (7-3) is not currently ranked in the top 20. It is a testament and credit to CHS coach Stew Curran to have two recent graduates competing at the very highest level of Div 1 college lacrosse. For a small town and school like Cohasset to have two Div 1 lacrosse players competing on the national Div 1 stage is quite impressive and a tribute to the CHS lax program. Submitted by John Brown
