Please be advised that US Lacrosse Membership for the entire lacrosse season is required to participate in this program for girls in grades 1 and 2, and for all boys in grades 1-8. Parents are responsible for securing (or renewing) each child's membership through June 30, 2023. Registration will NOT be complete until US Lacrosse Membership is paid, confirmed and you have read and signed both the US Lacrosse Waiver and US Lacrosse Code of Conduct. You will be directed to the US Lacrosse Membership site during this registration process. Please call 410-235-6882 if you have any problems with the US Lacrosse Membership.
Girls in grades 3-8 moved to a new league, Mass Youth Lacrosse. CYL is very excited for the opportunity to play against a wide variety of competitive teams. MYL does not require a US Lacrosse Membership and instead provides players with their own leauge insurance for a fee of $40 per player.
All players who register by December 19, 2022 are guaranteed to have a jersey with their name on it!

Spring 2023 Reg - 1st & 2nd Grade Boys (Little Skippers)
Grades 1-2 Boys Lacrosse
Emphasis at this level will be on fun and teaching love of the game. Instruction will focus on lacrosse fundamentals including throwing, catching, ground balls and field play. The season will include Saturday skills. We also plan to organize informal games. The season begins oudoors in the beginning of April (weather permitting).
Full equipment is required at this level (helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, stick, protective cup, mouthpiece). Good Sport offers a great equipment starter kit.
Cost $125 (no sibling discount) pinnie included.

The 1st and 2nd grade girls program is designed with the goal of teaching the fundamental skills of the sport while striving to maximize player enthusiasm and fun. The season begins in early April and runs through early June. Practice will be once a week.
The focus of coaching at this level will be on learning to love the game of lacrosse, basic skills and understanding positions. We rotate through game-based stations focusing on catching, cradling, throwing, ground balls, shooting and defensive positioning, while having lots of fun.
Equipment required: Goggles, mouth guard, and a size-appropriate girls lacrosse stick. Good Sport offers a great equipment starter kit.

The season will consist of two practices per week and games each Sunday. Games at this level will be played in a 7v7 format on a “Small-Ball” field (side to side on a standard lacrosse field using 4ft x 4ft goals). Practices will begin indoors in February, outdoors in April and game play will run into June.
Full equipment is required at this level (helmet, gloves, arm pads, stick, protective cup, mouthpiece, shoulder pads).

There are two practices per week and games on Sundays against teams from both the South and North Shore areas of Massachusetts. Instruction will retain a high level of attention to the development of individual player skills, with the addition of more complex game situation skills such as team offense & defense, fast breaks, riding, and clearing. All players at the 5th grade level will use “short sticks” and will not be allowed to use “long poles” on defense. Games will be played 8v8 on a modified field measuring approximately 40ft x 90ft.
Cost $295. Sibling discounts of $40 per child will be applied for up to 3 additional family members after the first registration.
